  4.  MenuBar 2 - The Bare Essentials

  7. MenuBar is for Acorn computers fitted with RISC OS 3.1 or above.
  8. It is StrongARM compatible.
  9.  
  10. Full details are in the Help file, but this will get you up and
  11. running quickly!

  13. Copy !MenuBar to your hard disc and run it by double-clicking on the
  14. !MenuBar icon.  When you run MenuBar the initial Bar appears at the
  15. top of the screen with a button on the left and five (empty) Menus. 
  16. The button in effect replaces the usual icon bar icon, and has its
  17. own menu.

  19. To load objects on to a Menu just drag them from any Filer window
  20. (singly or as a selection).  You can have up to 30 objects on a
  21. Menu.   Objects on Menus behave almost exactly as they would if they
  22. were in a Filer window (double-click, drag, etc).

  24. To open the main menu click the middle button over any Menu.  From
  25. this menu you can rename the Bar or a Menu.  Extra Menus (up to 10)
  26. may be created from the ‘Bar’ menu.  You can also create additional
  27. Bars (up to 30) from the button menu.

  29. Once you have loaded some objects, the data file is saved by
  30. choosing ‘Bar...Save’ from the main menu, or pressing F3 when
  31. MenuBar has the input focus.  To toggle the input focus click select
  32. on the button.

  34. To save the application sprites for next time, do a FilerBoot of the
  35. whole Bar from the main menu and then choose ‘Sprites...Save’ from
  36. the button menu.  You can also save the System Variables from this
  37. menu.
